In our second annual games, we endeavored to host a bigger and better event with more participants, teams, volunteers, entertainment and vendors from the local community to facilitate in ensuring we align the event to our long-term vision.
With the finest Caribbean food served by ‘Yam Down’ and music supplied by the award-winning Apache Warrior sound, we were able to provide a great family day to coincide with the sport and physical activity.
Well done to 5 Star who came out victorious in our thrilling football tournament which saw an amazing final against our very own Sports Key team. The players were all rewarded with a prize giveaway to a match day tour visit to see WBA vs Arsenal.
Our netball competition welcomed an entry from Ashanti Netball Club, who are part of the Birmingham and Regional league, so not surprising they were this year’s deserved tournament winners.
This year’s badminton tournament was well attended with a highly competitive doubles competition, with players from various clubs within the local area. Well done to Leroy and Danny for picking up the gold medal to become The Sports Key Games 2017 Badminton Doubles champions.
